The Commission reviewed multiple special-event permit applications during the work session. The Anaconda Restoration Association requested a street closure for a June 26 unveiling of the Marcus Daly statue and discussed possible food trucks and indoor alcohol sales at the Montana Hotel; organizers indicated they had supplied a certificate of insurance for review. Mike Hammer, president of the ARA, said organizers were "anticipating a fairly large crowd" and that they were open to closing the entire block to simplify logistics.
Gateway Christian Fellowship applied for an outdoor worship gathering and picnic at Beaverdam Park on July 19; approval is pending review of the certificate of insurance. Owner Levi Renz presented a June 6 grand-opening event for Black Diamond Car Wash; that permit likewise is pending COI review. The County Attorney and staff will continue COI verification and follow up on alcohol-service questions where applicable.
