Council approves Village Pointe Townhomes final subdivision for 76 lots on Constantine Road

Garden City’s mayor and council approved the final subdivision map for Village Pointe Townhomes, a proposed 76-lot townhome development on a 17.69-acre tract at 0 Constantine Road owned by Simcoe at Mosswood LLC.
City staff told the council that infrastructure was complete, bonds and warranties were in place, and staff had no objections. An applicant representative, Travis Bazemore of EMC Engineering, told the council he was available to answer questions and that the infrastructure had been installed and would be transferred to the city after final inspections. "This came in front of planning commission...All the infrastructure has been put in place," staff noted on the record. The council moved to approve the resolution and, on roll call, voted to carry the motion. The resolution approves the final subdivision and authorizes the city to accept the roadway extensions and the bonds described in the project documentation.
Council’s approval directs staff to complete final inspections and take the necessary steps to accept the public roadway and related infrastructure when those inspections and off-site items are satisfied.
