The chair moved the board into executive session to deliberate the employment, compensation, hiring, disciplinary action, dismissal or evaluation of public officers or employees and to interview applicants for the superintendent position. Board member Mr. Calloway moved the motion and a second was recorded as Miss Kelly; the chair noted the motion carried by voice vote.
After the closed session, the board returned to open session and took a motion to approve the personnel report, moved by Miss Moore and seconded by Mr. Calloway. "Motion carries," the chair announced after the vote. The board set its next work session meeting for August 24–25 before adjourning.
