Elementary principal highlights BIST work, award, Winterfest and preschool screening

Stark County Elementary School Principal Emily Mastin updated the board on student-support work and community activities. Mastin said the school completed a BIST consultation and staff attended the BIST Leadership Conference to observe best practices; she also reported quarterly teacher data meetings to track progress toward year-long goals and noted two new student enrollments.
Mastin announced that the district's RtI teacher, Mrs. Kunkel, received an Award of Meritorious Service from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). She invited the community to the SCES Parents Club 'Luau for Learning' auction on March 21 to support 'Project Playground' and reminded parents that Preschool Screening Day is scheduled for Feb. 27 at the Stark County Athletic Complex.
