President Ann Orwig presented Pride & Excellence recognition to the 2025 Stark County Junior High girls cross country team after they captured the IESA Sectional Championship and qualified for the state meet.
Coach Gary Frail, credited with starting the junior-high program four years ago, told the board the season "made his dream come true" and said, "We'll be back." Principal Megan McGann added that it has been a privilege to watch the program grow from the ground up and praised Coach Frail’s leadership.
The minutes list the state-qualifying roster: Lucy Denton, Sedona Smith, Gemma Listwan, Rosie Godfrey, Hailey Lane, Ariella Ely, Mia Thompson, Olivia Campbell (alternate), Brailynn Galli (alternate), and Korbin Down (alternate).
