Board approves committee assignments and moves October meeting

President Ann Orwig led a discussion and the board approved committee assignments for the 2025-26 year. The Building and Finance Committee will be chaired by Bruce West and include Ann Orwig, Joseph Rediger and Dane Richards. The Negotiations and Policy Committee will include Emily Leezer (chair), Erin Price and Joseph Rediger. The Education and Extra-Curricular Committee will include Ann Orwig (chair), Erin Price, Chelsea Streitmatter and Bruce West.
The board also approved representatives to outside bodies: Emily Leezer will serve on the Henry Stark Special Education Governing Board; Chelsea Streitmatter and Dane Richards will represent the district on the Stark County Education Foundation. Because of a personal conflict, Superintendent Elliott requested moving the October board meeting; the board approved changing the meeting to Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025. All motions passed 6-0.
