Stark County CUSD 100 board approves amended FY2025 budget including $50,000 Bus to Grid grant

The Stark County Community Unit School District #100 Board of Education approved an amended budget for Fiscal Year 2025 at a special meeting and public hearing on June 19, 2025, at the Stark County Elementary School cafeteria. President Ann Orwig opened the hearing and Superintendent Brett Elliott presented the proposed changes.
Elliott said the amended budget adds $50,000 in Fund 40 revenues to reflect receipt of a Bus to Grid Grant. To comply with state administrative cap guidelines, the budget reduces Fund 10 superintendent expenses by $18,000. Overall Fund 40 expenditures were increased by $127,745 to record the Bus to Grid outlay and to cover increases in special-education bus route salary and insurance benefits, capital outlay for a vehicle balance and a garage door opener, and bus lease return expenses. Fund 50 saw minor subcategory adjustments, and Fund 60 Purchased Services increased due to excess interest funds.
Bruce West moved to approve the amended budget; Emily Leezer seconded. The motion carried 4-0. The meeting minutes show signatures for President Ann Orwig and Secretary Emily Leezer and list the document as approved on July 21, 2025.
