Board approves new insurance agency while keeping Pareto self-funded program

Superintendent Brett Elliott told trustees the Annual Insurance Committee interviewed three agents and recommended Midwestern Insurance Associates (agent Steve Leesman) to serve as the district's health insurance agency for 2025–26. The board voted 6-0 to approve the recommendation and remain in the Pareto Self-Funded Program with Consociate Health while keeping Guardian for life, dental and vision coverage.
The minutes record that Midwestern also can assist with life, dental and vision because of its relationship with Guardian. The approval was made during unfinished business and passed unanimously (6-0).
