Board members said the appointment followed interviews and discussion at the prior meeting, and the board chose not to move into executive session because an appointee had already been selected. "Mrs. Orwig made a motion to approve Chelsea Streitmatter to fulfill the vacancy on the Stark County CUSD #100 Board of Education for the remainder of the vacancy term of two years," the minutes record. The new board member will serve the remainder of the term as presented.
