The Transportation, Waterfront and Seattle Center Committee recommended confirmation of two nominees to the Central Waterfront Oversight Committee on Aug. 6, voting 3–0 to forward the recommendations to the Aug. 11 City Council meeting.
Randy Engstrom, acting director of Seattle Center, and Tiffany Mawake, waterfront park operations manager, described Benjamin Cohen as bringing "over 20 years of experience in hospitality and operations, including his current role leading in the Seattle Marriott waterfront," and characterized Ephraim as an entrepreneur who built Buna Buna Coffee into a multilocation business. Chair Rob Sacca moved the recommendation; the clerk recorded votes of Council member Lynn (yes), Vice Chair Rink (yes) and Chair Sacca (aye).
