NTDSE budget approved; Molloy cafeteria redesigned as a life-skills practice area

Dr. Mark Chao told the Board that the Niles Township District for Special Education (NTDSE) meeting was rescheduled to the third Thursday of the month and that the 2024–25 NTDSE budget was approved.
He said the final section of the Molloy Education Center is being renovated and described how the Molloy cafeteria has been reset to resemble an eating area at a restaurant, such as McDonald’s, to provide students opportunities to practice life skills in a realistic setting. The Board received this as a committee report; there was no separate vote recorded on the Molloy renovation during the Oct. 15 meeting.
