The Ely Public School District Board on Feb. 9 accepted the retirement of English teacher Jim Lah effective at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and approved three teacher lane changes as part of the personnel consent agenda.
Approved lane changes recorded in the meeting packet and transcript include Clara Roy from BA+24 Step 7 ($62,876) to MA Step 7 ($64,810); Amanda Faulkner from BA+24 Step 10 ($69,987) to MA Step 10 ($74,153); and Jennifer Kerntz from BA+24 Step 11 ($74,153) to BA+40 Step 11 ($77,653). The personnel consent agenda motion was moved by Moravitz and seconded by Coombe and carried 4-0.
