The Detroit Lakes Public Schools Board of Independent School District No. 22 voted unanimously Feb. 23 to approve a revised 2025–26 budget. Julie Smith-Yliniemi moved to approve the revision; Michelle Okeson seconded the motion, and the vote carried unanimously.
Board members did not state a total dollar figure for the revised budget in the meeting minutes. Earlier in the meeting the board approved consent-agenda financial items that included K–12 checks #711648–711846 totaling $798,486.52, wire transfers totaling $5,124,650.01, and net payroll transfers totaling $1,452,673.85 (itemized in the consent agenda as a combined total of $7,375,810.38). The minutes do not tie those line items to the revised budget amount.
