She added the district is planning notable reserve use overall and estimated approximately $2.6 million of reserve spending in the budget package for buses and other items.
The board stressed the difference between reserve‑funded bus purchases and budgeted equipment: while Proposition 2 requires voter approval to spend reserves, the presenters said it will not add to the tax levy if approved. The proposition will be on the May 19 ballot at the district's standard polling location.
