Council also held first reading of Ordinance 15-26 to rezone parcels at 420 Mathey Street SE and 421 Van Allen Street SE from B2 General Business to R2 Residential. Staff explained the rezoning covers one lot with an existing single-family house and an adjacent vacant lot so the owner can expand the house or build a residence with fewer regulatory obstacles. The rezoning is in first reading and will return for subsequent action.
