Council approved budget amendment number 3 to appropriate $492,171 to record the recently delivered E-71 fire engine.
City staff explained that the 2025 motor-pool catch-up contributions had originally budgeted $561,000 for the vehicle but, now that the truck has been delivered, the actual required transfer is $492,171. "We originally expected to transfer 561,000. We only need to transfer $492,171," staff said. Council moved and supported the amendment and voted to approve it.
Council members praised staff for bringing the vehicle in under the original estimate and asked follow-up questions about the motor-pool transfer process and deployment timing for the engine.
