ANAHUAC ISD board approves consent agenda, updates policies and authorizes budget transfers

The ANAHUAC ISD Board of Trustees approved a consent agenda at its regular meeting on Jan. 26, 2026. Board member Samantha Humphrey moved to "Move to approve the Consent Agenda," and Stacey Medders seconded the motion.
The consent agenda covered: 1) minutes of the Dec. 15, 2025 regular board meeting and the Jan. 10, 2026 special board meeting; 2) a BBB (LOCAL) policy update; 3) TASB Update 126 (LOCAL) policies; and 4) approval of budget transfers. The motion passed with six yeas, zero nays; one trustee, Michael Morehead, was absent. Voting detail recorded Carlton Carrington, Stacey Davis, Samantha Humphrey, Stacey Medders, John Redman and Melinda Trainer as voting "Yea."
The board noted there were no items requiring closed session under Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 or 551.074 and did not convene in closed session. The meeting adjourned at 6:37 p.m. following a separate adjournment motion that also passed 6-0 with one absence.
