Board approves professional contracts, probationary contracts and consent agenda items
Summary
Alvarado ISD trustees approved probationary and professional teacher contracts, accepted gifts and donations, and approved minutes under the consent agenda during the March 16 meeting.
The board approved probationary contracts for professional personnel and later approved professional teacher contracts presented in closed session; both motions passed unanimously (7–0). Trustee Clifton McDaniel moved approval of the probationary contracts; Trustee Dana Walraven seconded. Trustee Kelly Price moved approval of the professional teacher contracts; Trustee Perry Burnett seconded that motion.
The consent agenda—consisting of prior meeting minutes and gifts and donations—was approved as presented with no items withdrawn. Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Estes also publicly welcomed Coach Sims and thanked staff members Isbeth Hernandez and Aubree Stewart for work on the district's WIG goals.
