The presentation showed the district’s projected fund balance at 18.6% of annual expenditures, inside the board’s 12.5–25% policy range.
The compensation plan included a 3% across‑the‑board increase for employees and a bump in starting teacher pay (first‑year pay shown rising from $66,700 to $68,900). Trustees discussed the budget structure — payroll accounted for roughly 85% of district expenditures in the presentation — and asked clarifying questions about child‑nutrition and debt service. The motion to adopt the budget and compensation plan passed with a unanimous vote; the chair announced, “Motion carries 7 0.”
