WAJ Board appoints several support staff and seasonal hires effective July 1
Summary
The board approved multiple personnel appointments effective July 1, 2026, including Teacher Assistant, Teacher Aide, Bus Driver/Teacher Aide/Monitor, full-time Monitor and substitute roles; compensation follows the WAJ Support Staff Association Bargaining Agreement.
On recommendation of the Superintendent the Windham-Ashland-Jewett Board approved a slate of hires to take effect July 1, 2026. Appointments include Alexis Lane (full-time Teacher Assistant), Kelly Hammel (full-time Teacher Aide), Jessica Lacombe (full-time Bus Driver/Teacher Aide/Monitor), Judy Prizzi (full-time Teacher Aide) and Stacey Brigante (full-time Monitor).
The board also approved appointment of Stephen DeWitt as a substitute mechanic, bus driver and monitor for the 2026–2027 school year and named Sharon Quinn a long-term, 0.5 basis Elementary Art Teacher for Sept. 2, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The minutes state hires “will be compensated according to the WAJ Support Staff Association Bargaining Agreement.”
