Don Sutton elected president as board reorganizes; Jen Horschel named vice president

Don Sutton was elected president of the Eden Board of Education at the start of the June 10 meeting, and the board administered the oath of office.
A fellow board member nominated Don Sutton during nominations. “I nominate Don Sutphin,” one member said, and the board subsequently voted to appoint him. After the vote the board president repeated the oath; the motion to appoint carried and the chair administered the oath.
Members also nominated and approved Jen Horschel as vice president; the board voted and administered the oath for the vice president. The newly elected president then presided and the board approved routine consent items for the upcoming year.
