The plan includes flexible academic spaces, CTE labs and an events plaza; architects noted the design is informed by programming at existing Hutto High and aims to future‑proof spaces as curriculum and TEA requirements evolve.
Trustee Sherry moved approval of the schematic design; the motion was seconded and carried by the board. Architects said they anticipate beginning construction in June of next year with a typical 24‑month duration but noted the schedule may shift slightly once a construction manager at‑risk is onboarded.
