The Abernathy ISD Board took multiple actions on the MWM Architecture fee during the Oct. 13 meeting. An initial motion to approve the MWM Architecture fee passed 4–3 (David Carver, Ty Horsford, Mike Magallanes and Marcus Sullivan in favor; Manuel Adames Jr., Matt Miller and Matt Riley opposed). Trustee Matt Riley then moved to reconsider that action; the reconsideration passed unanimously, 7–0. Following reconsideration, Trustee Matt Riley moved to table the approval of the MWM Architecture fee; that tabling motion also passed unanimously, 7–0.
The minutes record division among trustees on the initial approval and show the board ultimately chose to pause action by tabling, giving administrators additional time or information before final approval. The public minutes do not record the detailed arguments for or against approval beyond the recorded votes.
