Tate Albright, Abernathy High School principal, told the board the secondary campus is focusing on college and career readiness. "The secondary campus has been active with college and career readiness efforts, including TSI testing for seniors and a visit to the South Plains College Expo," according to the meeting record. He also reported that Career and Technical Education had success at area competition, with 22 students advancing to state.
Albright noted that Health Science students begin clinicals the following day and that the Esports program is underway. The principal also said teacher walkthroughs and formal evaluations are ongoing to support instructional growth.
