The Abernathy ISD Board of Trustees opened its Nov. 13 meeting with multiple recognitions of students and staff across the district. Joanna Fullingim, Elementary Principal, and Tate Albright, High School Principal, highlighted winners and exceptional service across elementary, middle and secondary campuses.
"Joanna Fullingim recognized Jaycee Barker, Macy Moore, Kelbi Curry, Rileigh Miller, Christian Parten, and Ki'Lynn Cunningham for their 1st Place in 4H Food Challenge," the meeting record shows. The board also heard that Chasen Fortune and Addison Leon were recognized for Academic & Character Excellence, and that several students earned honors at the FFA National Convention and related competitions. Staff recognitions included Tobie Riley for exceptional service at the elementary campus and Lisa Mull for dedication at the middle school. Tate Albright named Coach Adam Zepeda and Coach Kat Thompson for leadership in girls basketball and volleyball.
