Facilities lead Brian Koss told the board the project is funded from the elementary school bond levy and that the bid came in approximately $242,000 under the advertised estimate of about $2.49 million.
Koss said submittals and material ordering will begin if the contract is executed and that ground work is likely to start when weather permits (March–April window), with a contractual deadline to have the road open by the first day of school. The board approved the bid on a recorded roll call vote of 5–0.
