The chair then announced the city of Fall River’s request to use Maplewood Park for its annual public safety palooza — an event to connect residents with public-safety officials and promote neighborhood unity — scheduled for Tuesday, August 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. Committee members moved to approve the request and the motion passed by voice vote.
