Jeff Lutrell said no one had signed up for public comment at the meeting and urged the committee to reach out to stakeholders after the session. "Before we get started, though, I don't think anybody signed up for public comment," he said, noting the committee still has the right to solicit submissions from citizens and staff.
Members discussed possible reconvening dates; the director suggested having a recommendation ready for the October board meeting and the group explored dates including October 1, October 7 and October 24 before tentatively agreeing that October 3 at 6:00 p.m. could allow more time for outreach. Lutrell reminded the group that two board members must attend reconvened meetings and that proper public notice and agenda posting are required.
