Board discusses shared-services agreement with Floodwood; K–6 principal role to be eliminated

The Cromwell-Wright Public Schools board discussed a proposed Shared Services Agreement with ISD 698 Floodwood that would have Superintendent Nathan Libbon provide hourly startup assistance to Floodwood beginning April 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026, with a formal shared-services term of July 1, 2026–June 30, 2028. Business Manager Kristi Borglund presented changes to the agreement and the proposed budget share for Floodwood.
Board Chair Timothy Homstad said the ad hoc committee had reviewed contract language and budget numbers earlier that night. The minutes note the district will eliminate the K–6 Principal/Curriculum Director role after this school year and post a new K–12 Principal for the 2026–27 school year. The board did not record a final approval vote of the shared-services contract in the minutes; if the board chooses to move forward it will forward the agreement to Floodwood for their approval.
