During discussion 'Maggie' described the product as an "AI powered platform that is designed to help our police officers, have access to local and state, ordinances and state law," and said officers will be able to complete department and state forms from mobile devices. She told the board the village secured a sign-on in which "they prorated our, fee for next year to match up with our budget year so we won't actually be paying full price for this until 06/01/2027." After a motion, second and an aye vote, the ratification carried.
Board members clarified the purchase is for police department use only and not a broader municipal-records system. The vote followed routine procurement review and the administration said officers will be onboarded during the coming week.
