The Anna Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a consent agenda at its March 9, 2026 regular meeting that included minutes from Feb. 16, 2026; the monthly check register; and teacher and professional staff contracts.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Clark Miller and seconded by Monty Renfro. The consent items also authorized district budgeted purchases, including those that exceed the superintendent's delegated authority under Board Policy CH (Local), and adopted an amended Teacher Incentive Allotment spending plan.
The resolution package approved by the board included Texas Education Agency (TEA) Low Attendance Waivers for Anna Academic Center, Slayter Creek Middle School, and Joe K. Bryant Elementary for Feb. 18, 2026, and a Missed School Day Waiver for Anna High School for Feb. 18, 2026, cited as due to safety concerns. Assistant Superintendent of Finance Cindy Watson presented the financial aspects related to the consent items. The motion carried unanimously.
