Board approves $14,276 VCT floor restoration at Beecher Junior High

The Beecher CUSD 200U Board voted to approve VCT (vinyl composition tile) floor restoration services for Beecher Junior High by Citywide Facilities for $14,276 as submitted. Superintendent said the vendor expects about three weeks of work and an updated contract for the next school year will be provided at the following board meeting.
The superintendent told the board the district will strip floors back to the base VCT and then re-wax, which should restore tile surfaces and extend life. "They said it should be about 3 weeks to get that whole every tile surface done," he said. The motion to approve the $14,276 service carried by roll call. The administration also reported that Citywide has performed satisfactorily this past year and a contract update will be presented at the next meeting.
