Mesquite ISD introduces scores of new principals, assistant principals and coordinators

Mesquite ISD used the July 13 board meeting to introduce a large class of new campus and district leaders appointed over the summer.
Superintendent and administrative staff presented biographies and thanked trustees as they introduced leaders including Patrick Haney (named principal at Vanguard High School), Dr. Rhonda McGuire (Cross Elementary), Carolyn Daugherty (Lawrence Elementary), Dr. Leticia Brown (Porter Elementary) and others across elementary, middle and high school campuses. New coordinators and assistant principals were also introduced, with brief remarks from many appointees expressing gratitude and priorities for their campuses. Patrick Haney told the board he was "honored and humbled to serve as the next principal of Vanguard High School," and several appointees emphasized community engagement and student success.
President Seward encouraged trustees to attend upcoming events and congratulated the new leaders. The introductions were followed by a short break for photos and in‑person congratulations.
