Board approves consent agenda, later elects officers and waives dual‑signature policy temporarily

The Lamar CISD Board of Trustees handled routine governance items and personnel actions at its May 19 meeting.
Early in the meeting the board approved the consent agenda after pulling items 9H and 9I for separate consideration; the board then approved those items together on a 7–0 vote. Following presentations and closed session personnel discussions, trustees returned to open session and approved employment of personnel as discussed in closed session (motion carried 7–0).
In the meeting’s final business, trustees nominated and confirmed board officers: Jackie Hochsell (president), Trustee Arroyos (vice president), and Trustee Marsters (secretary). The board also approved a temporary waiver of board policy CFF local to allow a single signature on internal account checks for up to 90 days while new facsimile signature plates are obtained. The meeting adjourned at 10:52 p.m.
