At the April 27 meeting the Allen ISD Board recognized student accomplishments across arts and athletics. Staff highlighted PTA Reflections winners — Overall Awards of Excellence went to Mihika Bhat (Literature, “I Belong Because of Chance”), Bridger Vincent (Photography, “I belong, You belong, We all Belong”), Haochen Ye (Visual Arts, “I Belong in Infinite Love”), and Minha Kim (Visual Arts, “Over the Door"). Multiple students received Awards of Excellence, Merit, Honorable Mention and Participation across elementary, middle and high schools.
The board also celebrated Allen High School’s swim and dive team performances at the UIL 6A State Championship: Katelynn Zhou placed third in the 200‑yard individual medley and sixth in the 100‑yard breaststroke; Addison Wancio placed 12th in 1‑meter diving; Connor Trayer placed 18th in the 500‑yard freestyle. District athletic staff noted continued district championship streaks for the teams.
