The administration presented results from two rounds of community surveys and committee deliberations on May 19 regarding mascot and color options for the new Secondary Complex 8 and for several elementary campuses.
For Secondary Complex 8 (Williams High School and its feeder campuses), survey responses favored Tigers, Wildcats and Wolves; community preferences split roughly between orange and teal palettes. Administration showed mock uniforms and mascot concepts for trustees to consider but noted this is a future action item and no board decision was requested.
For K–5 campuses the administration recommended concepts tied to campus namesakes: Danziger Elementary 'Dinosaurs' (purple/gold/green themes recalling the namesake’s preferred colors), Cantu Elementary 'Greyhounds' honoring Mr. Cantu’s running legacy, and Marjorie M. Adams Elementary proposed as 'Kendleton Kittens' (silver with burgundy accents) after committee discussion.
