Operations staff said the dance area at Hutto High is nearly complete and crews are drilling piers and pouring concrete for a new gym (phase 4). Staff described on-site work including temporary accommodations for athletics and said CORE reports weekly schedule progress.
District leaders also reviewed planning for High School No. 2: Dunaway Engineering will provide civil engineering, and staff warned the effort requires multiple agency permits and coordination (water easements, traffic signal integration and a potential pedestrian beacon). Officials said they expect to issue two early bid packages (1A/1B) so subgrade and civil work can begin in March–April, subject to procurement and coordination with external agencies.
