Allen ISD approves $888,803 for secondary math instructional materials, certifies TEKS access

The Allen ISD Board approved the committee-recommended Secondary Mathematics instructional materials and authorized an expenditure of $888,802.95 from SBOE‑approved Instructional Materials Entitlement Funds. The motion to approve the selection and expenditure passed unanimously (motion by John Holley; second by Veronica Yost).
Assistant Superintendent of Learner Services Jennifer Wilhelm also presented the district’s 2026–2027 TEKS Certification as required by the Texas Education Code; the board voted 7–0 to approve the certification. Staff said the certification confirms students will have access to instructional materials that cover all required Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) subjects for the coming school year.
