Michelle Tish presented the monthly budget update for Fund 199 (General Fund), Fund 240 (Food Service Fund) and Fund 599 (Debt Service Fund). Trustees were provided the monthly board finance reports as informational items. Mr. Itz informed trustees that the TEA District Vulnerability Assessment includes a safety audit for which TEA requires a receipt signed by the board for the 2020–2023 safety audit.
Superintendent Nolen also noted TASB Policy Update 126 and a revised draft of EFB (LOCAL) had been provided after TASB review, and that the annual TEA Bilingual/ESL waiver is ready for submission. Trustee Alex Bass provided an AISD Education Foundation update, reporting the foundation's clay shoot raised $23,500 for graduating senior scholarships and teacher grants; teacher grant applications remain open through the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
