A trustee said the budget hearing was held before the meeting and that the alternative tax budget will be submitted to the county auditor to generate preliminary certificate of estimated resources for planning. Trustees noted the tax budget lists current levies and outstanding principal and interest on district debt and that it is a routine statutory filing. The motion passed by a 4-0 roll-call vote.
The board indicated the budget documents will be forwarded to the county auditor promptly for the statutory process that informs the district's fiscal planning for 2027.
