The Planning and Zoning Commission voted on Aug. 5, 2026, to recommend approval of the final plat for North Creek Plat 3 to the Board of Aldermen. Chair called for a motion; a commissioner moved, another seconded, and the motion passed with all members saying "aye."
City staff presented the final-plat review and recommended approval. "The staff has reviewed the final plat, does recommend approval of the final plat," staff member Matt said, adding that the final plat is "substantially the same as the preliminary plat" and complies with the city's subdivision regulations and approved construction plans. The reporter said a final plat review is required under Section 405.425 of the city code.
The staff presentation detailed how North Creek was annexed in 2006 and described earlier phases and adjustments to lot counts after an adverse possession claim. Staff said Plat 3 consists of 50 residential lots and that subsequent phases would add about 117 additional lots across remaining plats. Commissioners asked questions about phasing, access and services before making the recommendation.
The commission's recommendation means the Board of Aldermen will consider the final plat at a future meeting; the commission did not itself adopt the plat or set conditions beyond its recommendation.
