The board confirmed Brad Chase as legislative liaison and noted Rachel Malek will continue as the district's CVCC representative; trustees also confirmed assignments for curriculum, finance, transportation, sustainability, permanent improvement and safety and security. Members voted to formalize a policy committee and appointed Brad Chase and Ava O'Meara to the committee. The motion to approve the areas of responsibility and the committee slate passed by roll call (4-0).
Trustees emphasized that some liaison posts rotate among districts served by CVCC and that using position titles (rather than individual names) for staff assignments reduces the need to change policy documents as staff change.
