The Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Board of Education on Jan. 7 appointed Mark Dosen as board president and approved Tish Kwiatkowski as vice president during its annual organizational meeting.
A board member moved to appoint Mark Dosen to the presidency and a second was recorded; the subsequent roll-call vote was unanimous. After the vote, the president pro tem turned the meeting over to the newly appointed president, who presided for the remainder of the session. During the vice president nomination, trustees noted Kwiatkowski was not present at the meeting but had confirmed she was willing to serve; the board approved her appointment by roll call.
Trustees used the organizational meeting to confirm officers needed for the year and to outline next steps for committee assignments. The votes on both officer appointments were recorded as 4-0 in favor.
