Principals report strong start to school year; enrollment and testing plans detailed

Elementary Principal Lacey Cruddas reported that Pre‑K through fifth‑grade enrollment stands at 180 and that average daily attendance for August is 97.88 percent. "We had a fantastic start for back to school," Cruddas told trustees, and staff will use beginning‑of‑year MAP testing to drive instruction and planning.
Secondary Principal Bryan Hernandez reported 204 students enrolled in grades six through 12 and described a first‑day assembly that covered core values, the bell schedule, attendance and other expectations. Hernandez recognized staff who support dual‑credit classes and counseling; he said College & Career Night will be held Oct. 17, 2024. Both principals provided schedules of upcoming events to the board.
