Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Chris Delehanty presented a facilities update focused on the Carmel Del Mar School modernization. Delehanty reviewed design progress for the learning studio, library/innovation center, courtyard, and both interior and exterior work on the multipurpose room (MUR). He also outlined the Division of State Architect (DSA) process and described next steps in that review and approval pathway.
Board members asked clarifying questions about the design updates; staff indicated DSA approvals and subsequent construction scheduling remain to be scheduled. No construction contract awards were reported at the Jan. 21 meeting.
