The athletic director reported that the cross-country team finished second in district and that the girls team qualified for the State meet. Volleyball also finished second in district; junior-high football completed an undefeated season while high-school boys continued play. The athletic director noted basketball season had started and that high-school enrollment for the next two years is projected at 101, making Aquilla ISD the largest Class 1A school in Texas according to the minutes.
Superintendent David Edison reported that basketball passes had been mailed, Food for Families was scheduled for Friday, Lauren Cockrell was accepted into a Region XII leadership institute, and the staff Christmas party was set for Dec. 19. The board then moved to adjourn; the motion passed unanimously and the meeting ended at 7:18 p.m.
