Principal Josh Rombs and Principal Rose Tran reported interim testing results and described campus instructional priorities as Aransas Pass Independent School District prepares for STAAR testing. Rombs said the campus is emphasizing a math curriculum referenced in the meeting as "Bluebonnet math," noting the use of "DMAC STAAR report every 6 weeks" and a continued "fundamental five" focus in the fourth six-week period.
Rombs told the board the campus is "gearing up for STAAR and intentional and prescriptive tutorials" to support students who need remediation. Tran presented A.C. Blunt Middle School’s midyear interim comparisons and emphasized professional learning communities (PLCs) and small-group instruction as part of the campus strategy.
