Superintendent Dr. Gay Ham updated the board on district operations, including a completed background verification 'clear list' and scheduled summer maintenance. "May 22, you will get an email saying whether or not you were cleared or not cleared," she told trustees, describing the Thomas Reuters 'clear' program and the 85% match threshold used to confirm residency.
Dr. Gay Ham also previewed summer projects: elementary window and floor cleaning, a plan to strip 20 years of wax from the junior-high floors and have a contractor complete restoration, seal coating already approved for the junior high, and a recommended oil-based finish and limited board cost of roughly $9,200 to repair gym floorboard issues at the high school. She noted six FOIA requests were filed and satisfied this month.
Trustees were asked to expect the consolidated district plan at the June 4 meeting and second readings of policy updates in June.
