Planning commission finds FY2026–2030 capital projects in conformance with Tulsa Comprehensive Plan

Planning staff presented a summary list of proposed projects from multiple departments and recommended a finding of conformance so City departments may include the projects in the published draft budget and capital plan. The projects cited in the staff summary include venue upgrades (BOK Center, Cox Business Convention Center, Performing Arts Center), public safety facility and equipment upgrades (Fire Department station expansions and breathing air compressor replacement; Police 911 center upgrades and radio equipment replacement), zoo maintenance, and a set of transportation and public‑works projects such as intersection replacement and engineering inspection services.
Commissioner Turner‑Addison moved to approve the finding of conformance with planitulsa; Commissioner Rosene Robinson seconded. The motion carried 7‑0‑0. The minutes record staff comments mapping the projects to planitulsa goals including downtown investment, public facilities maintenance, and transportation planning.
