The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission on March 5 authorized an accelerated release of building permits limited to the electrical substation for Project Anthem and approved a modification to the Subdivision and Development Regulations so a financial guarantee would not be required for the substation.
The applicant, identified in the minutes as Torry Hurt, requested the accelerated release and the modification to Section 10‑110.6‑C of the Subdivision and Development Regulations on the basis that the electrical substation will not connect to City infrastructure and therefore a financial guarantee per Section 5‑180 should not be required. The commission’s motion also cited the criteria in Section 10‑070.4 of the Subdivision and Development Regulations and approved the request per staff recommendation.
Chair Walker moved to authorize the accelerated release and the regulatory modification; Commissioner Zalk seconded. The motion passed 7‑0‑0. The minutes record that the approval was limited to the electrical substation shown on the submitted site plan and that staff recommended the action because of the substation’s lack of connection to City infrastructure.
